It was fun as usual on Saturday with what was another busy race day. Guests gathered in the lounge for a champagne reception and to see if luck was on their side. Myself, Patricia and her husband Patrick were inundated with bets for the Scoop 6 which had reached a Jackpot total of over 3 Million pounds. I even had a go myself, however not knowing much about horse racing i fell at the first hurdle and lost.After all the bets were in, it was time for lunch. The Kitchen team had once again laid on a great hot and cold buffet lunch, with carved meats, thai green curry and accompaniments, new potatoes, various salads and more. And not to forget those amazing home made desserts !
Once everyone had had their fill it was time for racing. The lounge had been decked out with Multiple plasma screens. Nobody was going too miss the action. And at the end of the day, most people had a bit of luck and were able to claim a win.
